Group classes are an excellent introduction into any yoga practice. Chances are you started your yin yoga journey in a group class (maybe it was even my class). However, just by their very nature group classes tend to be general and not tailored to your specific needs.
I’m sure there are times when the group class hasn’t exactly met your needs exactly because you are an individual with unique wants, desires and life experiences.
One way to address this is with private yoga classes tailored to your specific needs and that’s the best option. Unfortunately that’s not an affordable option for many of us.
Â
Yin Yoga Club is a transformational online program that will educate and empower you to apply the right Yin practice at the right time to achieve your specific goals and address your individualised needs.
My mission is to empower you and teach you how to harness the true power of yin yoga for yourself.
And it costs less than the price of two private yoga sessions.
Yin Yoga Club will help you to address these common challenges that we all face at one time or another, these may include:
In this course you will get lots of physical practice AS WELL AS an overview of the wisdom that underpins Yin yoga. This includes learning about Chi, the meridians, fascia, mindfulness, Taoism, and the five element theory. The course includes:
Once you’ve gone through the course you will be empowered to know which Yin practice is suitable for your current situation. This means that you are practicing with clarity and working towards a set intention.
The information you will receive is concise, simple and easy to understand. This means that you won’t be overwhelmed with too much information, instead you will slowly absorb what you need as you practice along the way.
In addition, you can ask me questions at anytime, I am here to support and guide you along the way. We have a members circle where I will come on live whenever you want me to discuss anything about Yin yoga.
Yin Yoga Club members meet via a private Facebook group where you can connect with other students and myself. It’s easy to use without any complicated logins or tech issues. It’s a safe, private and friendly space where we can share our practice together.
In this course you will learn the What, How and Why of Yin yoga so that you can practice with wisdom and give yourself the greatest opportunity for balance and optimum health.
My intention is that you will walk away from this course with a wealth of information and practice under your belt in order to be able to practice according to what you need at any given time.
That is how you will gain more wisdom in your practice!
I’ll never forget my first Yin yoga class.
A friend asked me along to raise funds for a local charity. I was happy to try something new, check out a different yoga studio, and support a good cause.
The class was enjoyable and relaxing however I found it very strange after my decades of Hatha training. The concept of releasing all muscular tension felt odd. Many of the instructions were so different to what I had learnt in my Asana training.
The real revelation of Yin came to me after the class, walking home and feeling like I was floating. It seemed to me that I hadn’t done any effortful work however I felt so free of tension in my body. That was it…. I was in love!
I began to regularly attend Yin classes and it wasn’t long before I knew that I needed to learn everything I could so that I could share it with my students. As soon as I completed my advanced Yin yoga training I started including it in my classes and workshops. Over time I found that Yin became my most popular offering.
I’m so grateful that I was introduced to this practice as I know that it has completely transformed my own practice and that of my students.
The mindfulness and slow-ness of Yin is one of its most powerful teachings, as well as the flexibility and fluidity it brings to the body. However for me, what really stands out about Yin yoga is the way it balances the emotional, mental and energetic layers of the self.
My mission as a yoga teacher is to help you deepen your practice so that you can be more empowered to choose the right practice for yourself on your yoga journey.
I believe that Yoga is much more than stretching and strengthening the body. What you do with the physical body in Yoga is the tip of the iceberg. In my experience, it’s what you do with the subtle body that brings the greatest benefits.
I’ve been practicing for over 20 years and teach full-time. I specialise on practices that focus on the energetic, mental and emotional aspects of the self. This is where I  have witnessed the greatest transformation in my own practice and in my students.
Practice with me if you desire transformation on and off your mat.
I would love to see you more informed and empowered in your own practice through the art and science of Yin yoga.
Yes this is a self-paced course that you can join at any time and follow along at your own pace.
It depends. There’s approximately 20 hours of content including 15 classes plus some reading material. In addition, there is the opportunity to interact, comment and connect to other students which is encouraged but totally optional.
You will have 12 months access to the course with the option to renew at a 30% discount if you wish to continue and keep access to the content.
Yes, this course runs in a private Facebook group.
Ideally a yoga mat, a bolster, a block, a blanket and pillows. However if you don’t have those things blankets and pillows can be used instead.
No, however you need to have done Yin yoga before so that you know the basics of how it looks and feels… and the desire to learn more about it.
